Is it better to stay in Bihać town centre or in a house on the Una?
The centre is better for short stays, guests without a car and those who want restaurants and the promenade a few minutes' walk away. Houses on the Una are better for a holiday by the water, with swimming, barbecues and peace and quiet, but you will need a car for town and day trips. Many guests choose the centre for a weekend and a house for a week in summer.

Where to stay in Bihać for visiting Plitvice Lakes?
Any of our properties in Bihać works well for Plitvice, as the park entrance is about 35 km away, or 35 to 40 minutes' drive via Izačić. From the centre you get onto the road to the border quickest. Where to stay near Štrbački Buk waterfall?

Are the houses on the Una safe for children?
The houses on the Una have access to the river, and the Una is cold even in summer and fast on the rapids, so children must be supervised at all times by the water. On calmer stretches, such as in Lohovo, getting into the water is easier. On arrival, ask your host where the safest place to swim is.
What should I bring to a holiday house on the Una?
For a house on the Una, bring swimwear, water shoes, insect repellent and warm clothes for the evening, as it can get cool by the river.
